It was very exciting and inspiring for me to attend Hertie Network of Excellence in Clinical Neuroscience Kick-off Symposium in Berlin! It was an honour to be one of the twenty-four early-career researchers from Berlin, Bonn, Hamburg, Heidelberg/Mannheim, Munich, and Tübingen joining this exceptional program. The kick-off symposium impressively demonstrated what the Hertie Network stands for: bringing excellent basic and clinical research closer together, providing Fellows with the space to pursue rigorous scientific work, and simultaneously fostering their development as future leaders. This process is supported by a scientific professional development program within the Hertie Academy of Clinical Neuroscience. The next symposium will be held in November at our Tübingen site! Cannot wait to see all the fellows again!

I’m very excited to share the good news that I have received a three-year fellowship with Hertie Network of Excellence in Clinical Neuroscience, base at the site of Hertie Institute for Clinical Brain Research. I will be receiving research fundings from Gemeinnützige Hertie-Stiftung to support my research on age-related brain plasticity changes underlying long-term somato symptoms, and investigate the feasibility of self-intervention in aging group. This is a great step forward for me to develop into an independent researcher, and learn from the senior scientists.

I’m very honoured to receive 2025 China Europe Outstanding Young Scientist Award by China-Europe Scientists Forum. As a kid, being a ‘scientist’ always sound so far away, yet now I am called a scientist on many occasions. It is a nice feeling, I must say. And it will for sure encourage me to pursue more in my research field.
